Players' Week takes over the Ciudad Deportiva

The Ciudad Deportiva hosted Players' Week recently, in which 100 players selected from the various VCF Academy Programs projects in America, Asia, Europe and Oceania participated in specific training.

The Elite Camp U16 and the Players' Draft U14 allowed players from different countries and continents to complete an intense week of training under the guidance of coaches from the VCF Academy, an international benchmark in training players to compete at the top level.

Throughout the week, players were given demanding training sessions, specific gym sessions and video analysis work, as well as various friendly games against teams from the VCF Academy and Escoles VCF.

Players’ Week is a further step in the ongoing training carried out in the various VCF Academy Programs projects and the monitoring that the coaches carry out in each project.

During this Players’ Week, special recognition was given to several players from the club's international projects: Jian Paul Rodas and Jovanny Alexander Serrano (VCF Academy Houston); Elrik Armas, Xavier Cornelly and Greyson Chan (VCF Academy Canada); Joshua Vanhautte and Emilijus Pauliukas (VCF Camps Holland & Belgium).

These players participated in the VCF Academy World Cup and this season they have been part of the Elite Camp U16, completing the Pathway of the VCF Academy programs and being among the standout players of their generation.

Special mention should also be made of four coaches from VCF Academy's international partner programs: Magalie Seabrooke (VCF Academy Canada); Natale Raffaello Iaccarino (VCF Camps Italy); Apostolis Delis and Stamatis Koulouris (VCF Academy Greece), who have been participating in VCF Academy's Training programs for the past few years and, after completing Level 3 of the VCF Academy Coaches Convention last March, were selected to join the coaching staff of the Players' Draft U-14, alongside the local VCF Academy coaches.

Players Week, along with the VCF Academy World Cup, VCF Camps, VCF Academies, technical partners, the coaches convention, clinics, and Training Experiences... are just some of the activities that make up the VCF Academy Programs, which each year bring together more than 5,000 players from over 50 countries.
